Area offices, businesses closed for July 4 holiday
All federal, state and local governmental offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. In keeping with state closure guidelines, the administrative offices of the Mingo County Commission, the Mingo County Courthouse and the Memorial Building Annex will also be closed on Thursday, July 4. As of presstime, those offices were scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 5.
Mingo Central to host youth Football camp
The Mingo Central High School football team and coaching staff will be hosting a youth football camp on Saturday, July 20 from 11 am to 1 pm at Mingo Central's Buck Harless Stadium. Registration is at 10 am. The camp is for students in kindergarten to the eighth grade. There will also be a special guest speaker. Each camper will receive a free camp T-shirt.
