Man Charged in Desecration of a Religious Display
A man from Inez is facing desecration charges for allegedly setting fire to a religious display. Devin Morris was arrested following an investigation into a June 7 incident in which the Sheriff’s Office alleges he was one of three people who set fire to a prayer altar on the God’s Promise Trail.

Mayor: Williamson faces audit backlog, hindering grant funding
The City of Williamson is behind on audits, officials learned during the city’s council meeting on July 11, which is delaying the city’s receipt of grant money.
