Motorcyclist killed in wrong-way crash with SUV in Lebanon County
A 39-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after driving the wrong way down a Lebanon street and crashing into an SUV, police said. Alfredo Pizarro-Franco was driving against traffic on Hanover Street and had just gone through the Mifflin Street intersection without stopping when the crash happened around 8:30 p.m., according to police.

HARRISBURG, Penn. — An appeals court in Pennsylvania reversed the lower court’s decision to dismiss a third-degree murder charge pinned on a bar security job who fatally punched an intoxicated bar patron. His counsel said the single punch couldn’t possibly convey malice, an element needed to meet the charge, but the facts indicate otherwise: He punched the victim unprovoked and had lied to the bar manager, saying the patron merely fell to the ground on his own.

LANCASTER, Pa. — Two people were taken to the hospital after separate weekend stabbings in Lancaster. The Lancaster City Bureau of Police went to the hospital just before 9:10 p.m. on July 14 to meet with a victim who reported being stabbed in the area of East Orange and North Broad Streets.
Governor Shapiro Orders US, Commonwealth Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Butler County Resident Corey Comperatore
Harrisburg, PA – Today, in accordance with the United States flag code, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered United States and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to fly at half-staff immediately today, Sunday, July 14, 2024, to recognize the tragedy that occurred at a rally for former President Trump in Butler County last evening and in honor of Corey Comperatore, a Butler County husband and father who was killed while attending the event. The Governor also extends the prayers of all Pennsylvanians to the two Pennsylvanians who remain in critical condition and their families.

7 Pa. firefighters injured after 2 fire engines crash while responding to warehouse blaze
YORK, Pa. — Authorities say seven firefighters were injured when two tanker trucks crashed while responding to a large blaze in York, Pennsylvania. Officials said the crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Friday in Spring Garden Township, about a third of a mile from the large warehouse fire in the city.
