Louisiana IOL Jalan Chapman commits to LSU football's 2026 class
LSU football's 2026 class grew stronger Louisiana interior offensive lineman Jalan Chapman committed to the purple and gold. Chapman becomes the third piece in the class that has been all New Orleans based so far as Chapman joins Edna Karr defensive lineman Richard Anderson and McDonogh 35 safety Jakai Anderson. Brad Davis is getting an early start with this commitment as Chapman was on campus a couple of times this summer and pulled the trigger this weekend.

Thibodaux Police investigating Sunday night shooting at bar
The Thibodaux Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at a bar on the 400 block of Gerald T. Peltier Drive on Sunday night. Police Chief Bryan Zeringue said that at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, authorities were called to the above location to investigate a call of a shooting. Detectives have learned that two subjects were shot during the incident. The incident remains under investigation and more information will be released as the investigation continues. The victims were taken to a local hospital and their condition was unknown as-of early Monday morning.
