One arraigned, one still on the run after 2023 knife attack in Chambersburg sends one person to the hospital
24 July 2024- One person has been arraigned in Franklin County about eight months after a knife attack almost killed a man in Chambersburg last year. Jose Raul Caratini-Casiano was denied bail by MDJ Jody Eyer after being arraigned on charges of felony attempted homicide, felony aggravated assault with extreme indifference, felony riot with a weapon, misdemeanor reckless endangerment, and misdemeanor assault. Judge Eyer listed his reason for denying bail as “no amount of money or conditions can keep public safe”.

Police ID man who confessed to running over 80-year-old with ATV
HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI – Police have named the suspect who reportedly committed suicide after confessing to running over an 80-year-old man with an ATV this weekend. Former Franklin County nurse charged in connection with Chambersburg patient's death
A nurse faces charges in connection with the death of a patient at a Franklin County hospital, months after a syringe was found hidden in the deceased person's hospital bed. Sara Rae Miller, 32, is charged with three misdemeanor counts of providing false or fraudulent material information for allegedly failing to document that she administered a "substance" to the patient, who died soon afterward, according to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
