Patrick F. Murren, age 84, of Brushtown, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at SpiriTrust Lutheran – the Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover. Patrick was born in Hanover, Pa., on March 27, 1940, and was the son of the late Francis J. and Hilda R. (Wolfe) Murren. He resided at SpiriTrust Lutheran – the Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover with his brothers Philip and Mark and was lovingly cared for by his brother Michael and wife Kathleen. Patrick enjoyed farming and time spent with his family and was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of McSherrystown, McSherrystown Home Assoc., and S.A.V.E.S., and enjoyed attending baseball games on Sunday afternoons at the Brushtown Athletic Association. Patrick was also a longtime parishioner of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in McSherrystown.

Allen H. Bowersox, 85, of Hanover, Pa., died Friday July 26, 2024, at Kingston Court Nursing and Rehab in York. Born Aug. 17, 1938, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Harvey J. and Naomi R. (Kreitzer) Bowersox. Allen was a 1956 graduate of Eichelberger High School. He served in the Pa. National Guard from 1961 to 1967 and was on active duty in 1962. He spent 49 years in retail sales. Allen retired from Walmart in 2005, a job he loved.
