CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It has been announced that the Governor Justice and Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs statewide listening tour will make its next stop in the Mount Hope area.

The tour will bring two key sessions to the area on August 6th, 2024, including a visit to the Mount Hope Housing Authority from 10:00am to 11:30am and a session at the Days Inn by Wydham at 127 Ontario Driver from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

The initiative seeks to engage members of the community across the state as a means of fostering dynamic and meaningful discussion and collaboration to recognize the needs and priorities of West Virgina residents.

“We believe that every voice matters and every story has the power to inspire change. We invite and welcome members of the Mount Hope community and surrounding areas to attend this listening session and share their experiences and perspectives,” said Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs Executive Director, Jill Upson. “This is an ideal opportunity to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration as we work together to build a more equitable and resilient future for all.”

The sessions, additionally, will seek to provide community leaders and residents with a platform from which to express their concerns and bring about awareness to issues impacting community members.

Additional information on the ongoing listening tour can be found at the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs website .
