Washington resident indicted on child pornography charges
Washington resident Scott Alexander Hale was indicted by a Rappahannock County grand jury earlier this month on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography. Hale, 35, was arrested in February after multiple images and files were allegedly linked to his IP address and more were later discovered on his computer hard drive, according to a criminal complaint filed in Rappahannock County Circuit Court.

ELKTON — The town of Elkton has taken a step forward in dealing with nuisance properties in town limits. The Town Council voted to engage a private company to clean up properties that have become blighted. In previous discussions on the matter, town officials said several things can happen to make a property blighted, including a building that is falling down or otherwise unsafe.
