MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Three Nashville teenagers were taken into custody Saturday afternoon after Mt. Juliet authorities reportedly caught them in a speeding car.

Just before 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, the Mt. Juliet Police Department announced on social media that two 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old — who is currently on juvenile probation for a gun charge out — were apprehended in a speeding Chrysler 300 on Central Pike. The teens allegedly tried to hide from the officer down a dead-end road.

Police reported the investigation into the teens’ criminal activity is still ongoing, adding that both of the guns found Saturday will undergo forensic ballistics testing to determine whether they have been used in crimes around the Nashville area.

“Our officers work hard every day to push back on the outside criminal influence that passes through our community,” the department wrote on X.
