A lawsuit filed against Chop’t, a restaurant in Mount Kisco, New York, by a woman who claimed to have found a severed finger in her salad has been discontinued. Allison Cozzi of Greenwich, Connecticut,
filed the lawsuit in 2023. According to court documents, Cozzi alleged that the restaurant's manager, while chopping arugula, severed a portion of his left pointer finger. Cozzi claimed that while eating the salad, she realized she was chewing on a piece of human flesh. However, a notice filed in state supreme court earlier this month indicated the lawsuit had been discontinued with prejudice. This dismissal prevents Cozzi from refiling the lawsuit. The notice was signed by attorneys representing both Cozzi and Chop’t, but did not provide any further details on the reason for the dismissal. Attempts to reach the attorneys for comment have been unsuccessful. "
