John Lloyd Neely went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, he was born July 10, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of the late Lloyd Earl and Ruth Medley Neely. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his darling childhood sweetheart and loving wife, Joyce Fay (Witt); brothers, Earl R., Jeff H., Warren L. Neely; and daughter, Tracie L. Neely preceded his demise.

Elkview man sentenced to prison in connection to 2023 shooting, prosecutors say
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — An Elkview man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection to a shooting that occurred in 2023, prosecutors say. Robert Justin Lowers, 38, pled guilty in late May to charges of unlawful wounding and two counts of endangerment after he shot his spouse, Sara Lowers, 37, in the arm in October 2023, according to the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney.
