U.S. 17 overnight lane closures in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Mount Pleasant Waterworks contractors will implement nighttime lane closures in Mount Pleasant as part of its Wastewater improvement project.

The closures will take place on Highway 17 southbound between Faison Road and Carolina Park Boulevard.

“The project aims to enhance wastewater capacity to accommodate growth in the northern part of Mount Pleasant,” says Mount Pleasant Waterworks officials.

Closures are scheduled overnight starting Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27 between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Officials say during that time crews will install temporary construction entrances to facilitate the project.

Drivers should anticipate traffic delays and plan alternate routes if possible.
