MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – The Ride to End ALZ South Carolina is a 255-mile bike riding journey across the state to raise awareness and advance fundraising of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Over 400 bicyclists will brave the 3-day route beginning in Simpsonville on July 12 and ending in Charleston on July 14.

There are two ways for you to get involved.

If you are a casual bicyclist or an enthusiast needing a new challenge, join as a rider. You can participate in the group ride or join in on the virtual challenge riding your miles however you prefer.

If you still want a hands-on experience without holding handlebars, join as a volunteer! You can help check-in riders, assist with luggage, drive vehicles, fill water bottles at rest stops, and cheer on riders at daily start and finish areas.

The event takes place July 12-14. You can register or donate through this link .
