    Mount Pleasant Seafood obtains permit to sell items outside after building damaged in fire

    MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A seafood market on Shem Creek has received the go-ahead to sell its seafood products outside farmers’ market-style.

    Mount Pleasant Seafood suffered significant damage when a fire erupted in the oyster cooler in late April. They have been selling seafood in the town’s weekly farmer’s market.

    The business told News 2 that they have received a permit to begin selling products in front of their location on Shem Creek beginning Wednesday while work is being done to restore the building , which remains closed.

    The outside market will operate Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

    They will be closed on July 4.
