    Program changes announced for Jeopardy, news programs during 2024 Olympic Games

    MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – News 2 viewers can expect changes to some of their favorite programs when the 2024 Olympic Games get underway this week in Paris.

    The opening ceremony will air beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26 and the Summer Games run through Sunday, August 11.

    Jeopardy! will not air at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26 – instead, it will air at 10 p.m. on our sister network, the Lowcountry CW.

    News 2 Midday and News 2 at 5 p.m. will air on The CW beginning the week of July 29 to accommodate NBC’s Olympics programming.

    Jeopardy! will also not air on NBC due to the Olympic Zone at 7:30 p.m. July 29 through August 9. It will instead be seen on The CW each night at 10 p.m.

    There will be no weekend morning news from WCBD for the duration of the Olympics except for August 10.
