A 19-year-old is in detainment after a school threat in Titus County.

According to the Titus County Sheriff’s Office, on the evening of Monday, September 16, they were notified by the FBI of a potential threat made against a school in Titus County.

The Sheriff’s office dispatched investigators to locate the suspect and soon identified 19-yearold Adriana Orona, confirmed to be a student enrolled at Northeast Texas Community College.

Orona was questioned by investigators, then arrested on charges of Terroristic Threat, a third-degree felony, and is being held at the Titus County Jail, awaiting arraignment.

Chapel Hill ISD and Harts Bluff ISD both confirmed that they sent out a notification to parents Tuesday morning, September 17, about social media threats.

The notification from Chapel Hill ISD said, “The local police departments, along with county, state, and federal agencies detained the individual who is now being held by the Titus County Sheriff’s Office. Based on the information provided, there is no imminent threat to students and staff.”
