The Titus County Elections Office wants to remind all registered voters that the general election will happen on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can find their polling place by using https://teamrv-mvp.sos.texas.gov/MVP/ mvp.do. Voters must go to their designated precinct location.

Voters must physically present one of the seven acceptable forms of photo ID:

    • Texas Drivers License

    • Texas Personal Identification Card

    • Texas Election Identification Certificate

    • Texas Handgun License

    • United States Military Identification Card

    • United States Citizenship Certificate

    • United States Passport Voters who do not have an acceptable photo ID and cannot reasonably obtain one can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and present an alternate form of identification, such as a utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or voter registration certificate.

Prohibited items with 100 feet of a voting station: • Cell phones, tablets, cameras, or any other wireless communication or recording device

    • NO Electioneering, which means: NO Campaign, Candidate, or Party Literature

    • Section 46.03(a) of the Texas Penal Code generally prohibits a person from bringing a firearm onto the premises of a polling place. This prohibition does not apply to a peace officer, regardless of whether the police officer is on or off duty. For this and other potentially applicable exceptions, see Tex. Pen. Code § 46.15. The legislation allowing open carry of handguns does NOT change the law as it pertains to guns in the polling place; thus no one except licensed peace officers may carry handguns into the polling place Election night results will be available through visiting Titus County Elections Facebook Page. Titus County is working to have a new website prior to the election, and will also post election night results there, if possible.

If you are not yet registered to vote, that deadline is coming up on Monday, October 7.

“We encourage all eligible residents to check their registrations before the deadline, “ said Michelle Whorton, Elections Administrator. “Planning now will help make casting your ballot easy and efficient.”

To register, residents can visit the Titus County Elections Office at 110 S. Madison Ave, Ste C Mt.
