Tigers fall in battle of state-ranked teams News Staff Tue, 02/20/2024 - 16:44 Image The 11th-ranked Mount Pleasant soccer team went through most of the first half of district play undefeated to set up a matchup for first place in district against fourth-ranked Longview. The Tigers battled back after falling behind early but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 2-1 loss to the Lobos. The Tigers are 6-1 in district play and take on Hallsville Friday. Tiger varsity golf competes at invitational News Staff Tue, 02/20/2024 - 16:44 Image The Tiger Varsity golf team competed Wednesday, Feb. 14 in the Sabine Invitational at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, bringing home third place as a team. Sophomore, Jacob Baker, was the tournament champion, earning first place with a score of 69. Sophomore Brandon Carter shot an 81, with seniors Braiden Merryman and Owen Green shooting an 85 and 88 respectively. And sophomore Alessandro Greco rounded out scoring with a 104.
