It’s been a successful season for Mount Pleasant’s local basketball teams. The Tigers finished second in District 15-5A, winning a bi-district title and battling with 5A’s number one team in the area round. Mount Pleasant finished their season 28-8. Just up the road at Harts Bluff, the school in its fourth year as a high school made history as both the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs advanced to the playoffs for the first time in program history. Both teams finished second in district play. The Bulldogs won their first-ever playoff game in overtime against Quinlan Boles and took eighth-ranked Muenster to overtime before falling by two points. The Chapel Hill Red Devils are ranked fourth in 3A and are still in the playoffs.
