National Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 2, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the north steps of the Titus County Courthouse, the community is invited to come together to pray for the nation, community and ourselves. Participate with leaders from Mount Pleasant churches in an intercessory prayer time on government, military, media, business, education, church and family. Coordinated by the Inter-Church Prayer Ministry.

Tranquil Cemetery Meeting

The Tranquil Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting and decoration at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 atTranquil Cemetery. Anyone interested in the preservation of the cemetery is invited to attend. The cemetery is located approximately three miles north of Hwy 67 on CR 1070. A short business meeting will be followed by a guest speaker. Graves may be decorated prior to or after the meeting.

Veterans Appreciation Breakfast

Free biscuits, gravy & coffee on National Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 8-10 a.m., at Herschel’s Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. Provided by American Legion Post #210, Mt. Pleasant.
