MANCHESTER, N.H. — The brother of a Manchester man was one of the people killed by Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4 storm moving across the Caribbean. Rodney Davis grew up in Grenada and left the island for New Hampshire in 2005 after Hurricane Ivan hit. Full caption: Priest River's Cheyenne Thompson recently committed to continue her soccer career at the College of the Siskiyous (CCCAA) in Weed, Calif. Cheyenne was an integral part of the Spartans' midfield and defense for the three years she played on the varsity squad. This past season, she averaged roughly 5.1 steals per game over 12 games and also added one goal and one assist to the stat sheet. Cheyenne was also a standout softball player and was on the varsity basketball team during her time at Priest River. "I couldn’t be happier for Cheyenne," PRLHS assistant coach Nick Tucker said. "She worked incredibly hard and deserves every opportunity to play at the next level. I can’t wait to see what she does." Norman Wesley Anderson (Wes)
Norman Wesley Anderson (Wes), age 81 passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at his home in Mt. Shasta while receiving Hospice care. Wes was born in Brooklyn, New York, October 23, 1942. His beloved parents were Norman and Louise Anderson. Wes is survived by his wife Marla and his son Bryan; sister Pamela Clisham and husband David Clisham, nephew Mark Taylor and niece, Justine Clisham; sister, Candace Gutleben and husband Kenneth Gutleben, nieces' Christine and Kimmy and their husbands and children; and a younger brother, Robert Anderson. Wes was of Norwegian heritage and was blessed with many relatives who migrated to the United States from Norway. He was very close with them.
