Annual Harrisonburg Citizen Academy now accepting applications
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - The annual Harrisonburg Citizen Academy is now accepting applications from Harrisonburg and Rockingham County residents. The academy will be held one night each week from Aug. 22 to mid-November. The 13-week course allows participants to visit City of Harrisonburg departments and some partner organizations to learn about the services, programs, and events available to community members. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to see firsthand the tools, equipment, and vehicles staff use in tax-paying duties.
Valley vineyards combat heat problems this summer
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - With high temperatures and dry conditions, vineyards across the Valley have faced challenges with the number of customers they see this month. CrossKeys Vineyards Event Manager Ranae Nyce said the grape vines have been able to survive through the heat because they don’t need as much water as other plants.

Crozet Thrift Store Relocates After 45 Years

After Joe Biden released via Twitter announcing he would be dropping out of the 2024 election, Harrisonburg resident Daniel Saylor said he was happy to see him drop out.
