Massanutten Resort's new thrill ride to open this fall
Massanutten Resort announced a new attraction called “Mountain Mayhem.”. On Monday, the resort made public its plans to open Mountain Mayhem this fall, according to a news release by the Resort. The mountain coaster will be open year-round and shows the breathtaking view of the Shenandoah Valley while experiencing the excitement of the ride.
Charlotte Elizabeth Hasler Good
Charlotte Elizabeth Hasler Good, 93, a resident of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Good was born on January 15, 1931, in Harrisonburg, VA, to the late Rush and Elizabeth Hasler. She worked for Sancar and in food service at James Madison University. Her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, camping, putting together puzzles, crocheting and knitting. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Keezletown.
WARM names Alec Gunn new executive director
Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry, Inc. has named a veteran educator and counselor as its new executive director. Alec Gunn, 51, with a 17-year career in education and counseling, assumed the new position this week. Gunn’s previous experience includes serving as the commandant at Fishburne Military School and as program counseling coordinator at New Directions Center.
Waynesboro police investigating fatal shooting
WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A shooting this morning in Waynesboro left one man dead and another man in custody. Waynesboro Police Captain Jaime Dunn says officers were dispatched shortly after 9 a.m. to the 400 block of James Avenue for a report of a discharge of a weapon.
