Police arrest man who fell asleep with loaded gun on subway staircase in Brooklyn
Police arrested a man with a loaded gun on a subway staircase.The man had fallen asleep with the weapon in plain view on the steps in Brooklyn.The officers immediately grabbed the weapon and then handcuffed the suspect. There is a silver lining for the New York Mets in the wake of Kodai Senga’s latest injury. Senga returned from the Injured List on Friday, lasting 5.1 innings before leaving due to a calf strain. Jorge Castillo from ESPN reported that Senga is expected to be sidelined for eight to ten weeks, essentially ending his season before it truly began.
Stamford Cocktail Competition Features Código 1530 Tequila
Brescome Barton hosted a cocktail competition featuring Código 1530 Tequila at Tequila Escape in Stamford on June 18. Six local bartenders squared off in a friendly competition, creating their best cocktails for judges using Código 1530 Tequila as their base spirit. The winners were first place: Danny Campaverde, Nômade, and second place: Bryan Itaborahi, Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse. Código 1530 100% agave azul tequilas—available in Blanco, Añejo, Barrel Strength Añejo, Reposado, George Strait Origen Extra Añejo and Rosa expressions—are made using hand-selected, fully matured agave from Amatitán, Mexico, from freshwater pools and rainwater. Each batch is then filtered through the volcanic soil of Los Bajos and aged in the finest Napa Valley Cabernet French white oak wine barrels through the family’s time-honored aging technique, rather than the more commonly used American whiskey barrels. The distinctive difference in the aging embraces the “clean elegance of winemaking” to produce a uniquely delicate finish.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, New York’s projected over/under line is set at 53.5 victories. In ’93/94, they were projected to win 56 games. Easton’s famous Fireman’s Carnival kicks off on Tuesday, July 30 at 1 Center Road and will run through Saturday, Aug. 3. Curtain Wall Installation Nears Completion on The Hospital For Special Surgery’s Expansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side
The glass curtain wall has reached the roof parapet of The Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Tower, a 12-story waterfront expansion of the Hospital For Special Surgery at 535 East 70th Street in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by EwingCole, the $200 million addition will span 100,000 square feet directly over FDR Drive and connect the main hospital wing to the south via a sky bridge. The property is located between East 71st and 72nd Streets.
