Stolen car leads officers on chase from York Co. to Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A police chase that started in York County, S.C. made its way to Charlotte Monday morning, according to officials. According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, they were in pursuit of a car stolen from Huntersville. Because traffic was heavy and continuing the chase would have raised safety concerns, deputies stopped the pursuit.

Man holds family captive in local home
On Thursday, July 11th, Deputies responded to a burglary in progress where the suspect was armed with a handgun at 210 Eastdale Dr in Lexington. Upon Deputies arrival, they spoke with a male subject, David Miller, who stated he was inside of the residence at the time the suspect entered the home. David stated that a black male, wearing all black clothing, armed with a handgun, entered the residence and held him at gunpoint. David advised the suspect forced him to leave the residence at gunpoint however, two juvenile children and their mother, Shantay Redd, were forced to remain inside of the residence.
