Lexington resident charged with animal cruelty
On July 14, 2024 at 11:47 a.m. the Lexington Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 809 Olympia Street. Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered five dogs that had no food, water or shelter and were malnourished. All five dogs were seized and taken to the Davidson County Animal Shelter for care.
Huntersville Police Apprehend Suspect Accused of Fleeing Scene of Fatal Three-Car Collision on Statesville Road
Huntersville Police have arrested a driver involved in a fatal three-car collision that occurred on Tuesday night. The wreck, which claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman and left another driver with life-threatening injuries, happened around 8 p.m. along Statesville Road near Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, as confirmed by WCNC. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene, however, her identity has not been publicly released.

Showers seem to have had a calming effect for the Fourth of July in Salisbury Township. Even so, the Salisbury Township Police Department was kept busy.
