Alleged burglar caught wearing homeowner's clothes, sheriff says
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A Lincoln County man made a disturbing discovery when he came home on Monday, deputies said. Lincoln County deputies were called to a home on North Ingleside Farm Road in Iron Station when a man said he found a stranger standing in his kitchen wearing the homeowner's clothes and shoes. The homeowner said he immediately called 911 and the suspect, 46-year-old Tanou Chittamath of Gastonia, was arrested.

CONCORD, N.C. -- NASCAR will not penalize Corey LaJoie for contact with Kyle Busch that triggered a multi-car crash during the final stage of Sunday's Cup race at Pocono. NASCAR has issued penalties in recent weeks for contact on the track. Bubba Wallace received a $50,000 fine for door-slamming Alex Bowman on the cooldown lap at Chicago. Carson Hocevar received a fine and a points penalty for hooking Harrison Burton under caution at Nashville. Layne Riggs was held for two laps at Nashville for reckless driving.
Man holds family captive in local home
On Thursday, July 11th, Deputies responded to a burglary in progress where the suspect was armed with a handgun at 210 Eastdale Dr in Lexington. Upon Deputies arrival, they spoke with a male subject, David Miller, who stated he was inside of the residence at the time the suspect entered the home. David stated that a black male, wearing all black clothing, armed with a handgun, entered the residence and held him at gunpoint. David advised the suspect forced him to leave the residence at gunpoint however, two juvenile children and their mother, Shantay Redd, were forced to remain inside of the residence.
