Motorcyclist in critical condition after crashing, sliding underneath SUV in Fayetteville, police say
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a late-night crash involving a motorcycle on Monday. At around 11 p.m. Monday, two motorcyclists were turning left onto Murchison Road from Pamalee Drive. That’s when one of the motorcyclists tried to pass the other one and then crashed into an SUV that was making a left turn from Murchison Road into a Circle K gas station parking lot, police said.

Attorney General Josh Stein Announces Health Care Fraud Sentencing
(RALEIGH) Attorney General Josh Stein announced today that Valerie Ann Sinclair of Fayetteville pleaded guilty to 21 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses in Moore County Superior Court. Judge Regina M. Joe ordered Sinclair to surrender her clinical mental health counselor supervisor license and pay $71,046.04 in restitution to the North Carolina Medicaid program. She also sentenced Sinclair to 60 months of supervised probation and required Sinclair to immediately serve 90 days of confinement.

State Agency OKs $262M Greensboro Hospital
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist has been greenlighted for a $262.8 million Greensboro Medical Center on Horse Pen Creek Road. It took a year and a half, but the N.C. Division of Health Service Regulation finally posted its approval of Atrium’s Health’s application last week. The hospital was originally slated to open in July 2026, but the opening date is now January 2029. The 36-bed hospital will be located at 2909 Horse Pen Creek Road.
