‘Heroic actions’: Officers rescue 3-year-old with severe leg wound on Lake Norman
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two officers helped rescue a 3-year-old girl who suffered a severe leg wound on Lake Norman in early July. Officer Eric Burkhalter and Sgt. Brandon Lyon were on boat patrol during the evening hours of Friday, July 5, when a family with small children waved them down near McCrary Creek.

Several teenagers led police on a chase across state lines from York County, SC, into Charlotte, NC, after allegedly stealing a car from the Huntersville area. The event unfolded on Monday when the stolen vehicle caught the attention of the York County Sheriff's Office, which initiated the pursuit.
