Penn State boasts its largest Olympic athlete contingent ever for these 2024 Summer Games in Paris. More than two-dozen former, current and club athletes with Penn State connections will compete for various countries during the two-week games that began this week, ahead of Friday's opening ceremonies. They will attempt to break the stunning performance at the Tokyo Games three years ago, where six former PSU athletes won medals, including a school-record four golds.
Penn State coach James Franklin questions if radio helmets will solve sign stealing
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti opened this week’s three-day preseason kickoff festivities in Indianapolis by acknowledging he’s still waiting for the NCAA to make a decision on the sign-stealing scandal involving Michigan. The Wolverines, of course, didn’t talk about it Thursday. But Penn State coach James Franklin believes the backlash has had an impact on college football, making it abundantly clear he believes the newly approved radio communication between coaches and players is a direct result of what the Wolverines were accused of. Franklin also says he doesn't think the radios will eliminate the need for signs of the potential for sign-stealing.

Power Ranking the Penn State defense before training camp: No. 4 Defensive Tackle
As we continue our review of the Penn State defense, there's no way around a certain feeling. It's disrespectful to have the Nittany Lion's defensive tackles fourth on our list of five positions. This group is experienced, big(ger), and they have some potentially great players. In fact, they've slid back a spot from our pre-Blue-White Game rankings this spring. That is no fault of their own. In fact, the spring game gave us flashes of some young defenders who showed promise during the game. But as we'll get into in a second, this position has been steady and unsexy over the last few years. They may be the bedrock of the defense, but there are some elements they need to show before they can rise up the rankings and unseat the other positions ahead of them.

The college held a public meeting Wednesday during which they outlined plans to transform the corner of 17th and Moore streets with construction of what Juniata officials are calling a “Gateway Center Project” that would provide space to launch a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program.
James Franklin on Penn State WR Julian Fleming: ‘I think he’s gotta huge chip on his shoulder’
Julian Fleming is an older receiver in a new position. The former five-star recruit is back in his home state, and the expectations for the Southern Columbia grad are great.
