Park City area intends to tap a Winter Olympic liaison to assist with plans for Games
There is now a deadline for the Winter Olympic efforts: The opening ceremony in February 2034. Officials at City Hall, the County Courthouse and in the Park City tourism industry have spent years assisting during the bidding for a second Games in the state. And the awarding of the 2034 Winter Olympics to Salt Lake City on Wednesday essentially launches the organizing phase.

Arbor Day is a secular day of observance in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Arbor Day is one of the world’s largest nonprofit conservation organizations dedicated to planting trees. First celebrated in 1872, it was established as a way to encourage farmers and homesteaders to plant trees that would provide shade, shelter, food, fuel and beauty to open area. Communities around the state can celebrate Arbor Day any day of the year. Brian Head’s Arbor Day Celebration was July 18, 2024. Several attended and helped plant trees. They learned about how to plant trees in Brian Head’s environment by Ryan Johnson, Arborist, Urban and Community Forester.

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the addition of Shelby Thompson to his coaching staff on Friday. Thompson will serve as an assistant coach. Thompson joins the Aggies after a strong playing career as a pitcher at UC San Diego. There, she made 73 appearances and 38 starts in the circle in four years from 2021-24.
