Report: 5 Kansas City Chiefs Players Injured Before Start Of Training Camp
The Kansas City Chiefs have players battling injury before training camp. Rookies reported to training camp on Tuesday. Veterans will return for training camp on Saturday. The Chiefs had one important injury hanging over their heads during OTAs this spring: Joe Thuney. Thuney suffered a pec injury during the playoffs last season, keeping him out of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.
St. Louis County Council vote on funding for senior tax freeze put on hold
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Tuesday, the St. Louis County Council decided to put on a plan to fund a property tax freeze for seniors. The bill could affect around 150,000 households. The money would go towards the infrastructure needed to implement the freeze that passed in 2023. That includes an additional $600,000 to the Department of Revenue’s Budget in order to hire staff and set up an online portal for applications.
Jefferson City offers $7.3 million in CDBG grants for affordable housing projects
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) Jefferson City announced in a Tuesday social media post that it is offering $7.3 million in grants for affordable multi-family rental projects. Anyone living in Waldron, Mo., who gets water from Consolidated Public Water Supply District One is advised to boil water used for cooking or drinking for three minutes. ST. CLAIR COUNTY (First Alert 4) -- Foster homes are needed for pets as the St. Clair County Animal Services building is in danger of flooding. Gateway Pet Guardians and other partner organizations are working to rescue dogs from the animal services facility in Belleville. The Belleville Area Humane Society rescued cats from the facility.
