Duluth Harbor Monsters win first home game ever, take down Iowa Woo 51-42
DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Duluth Harbor Monsters picked up the first home victory in franchise history on Saturday night, taking down the Iowa Woo 51-42. The Harbor Monsters have won two straight games for the first time this season, and improved their record in their inaugural year to 3-3.
New Staff Join the Superior National Forest
The Superior National Forest (NF) is excited to welcome and announce new staff to the recreation, public affairs, ecology, and environmental planning departments. Michelle de Leon - new Recreation Program Manager, stationed at the Supervisor’s Office in Duluth. In this role, she leads the Recreation program across the Superior NF (excluding the BWCAW) by providing guidance and technical support to the District Recreation/Wilderness/Trails Managers who keep campgrounds, trails, and other recreation areas fun and safe for the public. Michelle began her public service career at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation where she started as a natural resource specialist focused on environmental compliance, recreation management, and lands before working on financial assistance programs for conservation. Now that she is at Superior NF, Michelle is enthusiastic to be part of why families and friends love to play outside in Northern Minnesota!
