Civic Center Farmers Market Filled With Local Vendors
DULUTH, Minn. — The 6th annual Civic Center Farmers Market is back in Duluth with local vendors. Eggs, meat, and homemade baked goods were among items there on Thursday. Plants, flowers, soaps, crafts, live music and food trucks, too. Superior Currents is an art business that features driftwood earrings and necklaces made with beach glass. The art is heavily inspired by Lake Superior. The owner even designed a logo for the Lake that she hand paints on a variety of goods.
All Breed Dog Show Kicks Off In Duluth
(Duluth, MN) — Northern Minnesota’s largest dog show is underway in Duluth. More than 600 dogs from around the U.S. are competing in the AKC All Breed Dog Show sponsored by the Duluth Kennel Club. The 75th edition will feature competition among different breeds, followed by judging in seven different groups. The winners in each group will compete for the title of Best in Show. The show will be held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center through Sunday.
Students Participate in Immersive 4-H Camp at UMD
DULUTH, Minn. — UMD is playing host to a 4-H STEM camp focusing on engineering. 6th through 10th graders from across the state are working with professors and UMD students at the Swenson College of Science and Engineering. They are doing hands-on science and engineering activities. The project on Thursday was on a water filtration system.

Hucklebeary Craft and Gift Shop Hosts Employee Garage Sale
DULUTH, Minn. — A local craft and gift shop is giving their employees a chance to sell their own items. It’s the Hucklebeary Employee Garage Sale. Staff are selling antiques, clothing, books all outside of the store. They were given a month and a half to put together items. The event is happening during Downtown Duluth’s Sidewalk Days. The owner says she wanted to help make Downtown more inviting.
First Urgent Care Behavioral Health Services Opens in Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. — The first Urgent Care Behavioral Health Services in the Northland opened its doors on Friday. The center is a collaboration between the Human Development Center, the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment, Children’s Dental Services and St. Louis County. Over 2 million dollars from the ARPA was used after a unanimous vote took place through St. Louis County to refurbish the building. It is a part of the ongoing mission to support mental health and recovery in our community. The building is made to be a welcoming and safe place. Someone will be there to talk with those in need and connect them to services in a timely matter.
