Docherty Wins Third-Straight Park Point 5-Miler
DULUTH, Minn.- Dan Docherty has secured his third-straight victory of the Park Point 5-Miler, finishing with a time of 24:40 in Thursday night’s race. Docherty has become the second runner to collect four Park Point 5-Miler, with his first win coming back in 2017. 5-time champion Jeremy Polson is the only runner to have won the 5-Miler more than Docherty.

CHISHOLM, Minn. - The St. Louis County Fair runs from July 31 through August 4 but the showcase starts one day early. More than 100 youth from around the county will show off their learning and achievements. Students spend months working on their projects which are all designed to equip them with life skills. 4-H’ers will be giving tours, workshops, hands-on demonstrations, and more during fair week. This is also when top performers will be chosen to represent the region at the Minnesota State Fair.

HAYWARD, Wis. - A contest is underway as part of Hayward’s Visitors and Convention Bureau’s yearly campaign. Photo submissions are currently being taken for the 2025 Visitor Guide cover photo. The winning image will also be featured in marketing efforts throughout the year. Submissions are open through August 31. The image must have been taken in Sawyer County and the Hayward Lakes Area. Multiple submissions are encouraged. In addition to the publicity, the winner will receive $500.
