Milwaukee shootings Thursday; teen wounded, building shot up
MILWAUKEE - A 15-year-old was wounded by gunfire – and a building and car were shot up in separate shooting incidents on Thursday, July 18. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, at about 1:30 p.m. a 15-year-old was shot near 73rd and Ruby. The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
Massive fire near Washington Park causes road closures in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE — An overnight fire in a building near 39th Street and Lisbon Avenue, close to Washington Park in Milwaukee, led to road closures Thursday morning. The fire began at 3:30 a.m. on the second floor of the abandoned building, which used to be a church. It resulted in a two-alarm fire.
