Door County GOP Chair Up Front at RNC
Door County Republican Party Chair Stephanie Soucek said she had an up-close view of history in the making at this week’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Soucek, one of the 41 delegates representing Wisconsin, said she was seated in the fourth row with the state contingent next to the stage, where they participated Monday in nominating Donald Trump as the party’s candidate for president two days after he survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Wisconsin Governor Tours Lincoln Park Zoo, Explains Costal Community Grants
The city of Manitowoc is getting grant money from the state to improve an area of the Lincoln Park Zoo. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced earlier this week that Manitowoc will get a little more than $95,000 for improvements in an area on the Little Manitowoc River through the Wisconsin Department of Administration’s Wisconsin Costal Management Program.

The UW Hospitals also received the highest ratings for 18 procedures and conditions impacting people 65 and older. (GRAY) – Minnesota DFL party members slammed the controversial ‘Project 2025′ agenda in St. Paul Thursday. ‘Project 2025′ is an agenda from conservative think-tank, The Heritage Foundation, meant to serve as a blueprint for Republicans if they win the presidency. The agenda has become a focal point of the Biden campaign, which looks to tie the agenda to Trump.

Crews battling large fire on Milwaukee’s west side
An old church converted into a learning center is on fire this morning at 39th and Lisbon on Milwaukee’s west side. Crews arrived on scene around 1:00am Thursday. Neighbors tell our news partners at TMJ4 the smoke from the fire filled their homes alerting them to the blaze. WTMJ listeners report smoke from the fire has been seen in the Menomonee Valley.
YMCA plans new facility at Waukesha technical college campus
A full-service YMCA facility will be developed on the Waukesha County Technical College campus in coming years. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County and Waukesha County Technical College will partner on developing a modern YMCA facility on the main campus at 800 W. Main St. in Pewaukee, officials said in a news release. The facility will serve residents of Waukesha County and surrounding areas as well as students, staff and college faculty, officials added.
