Lower-cost pet adoptions deadline July 31 at Humane Society of Clark County event
Attention Arkadelphia animal-lovers: Time is running out to get lower-cost pet adoptions at the Humane Society of Clark County. July 31 is the deadline to take advantage of lower local rates made possible by the Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters national adoption effort, which encompasses about 400 shelters in 44 states. Local interest has been slow since the Bissell event started July 8.
‘The Sunshine Boys’ Set to Take Stage Soon in Central Arkansas

The Stuttgart Planning Commission voted to annex 242 acres of industrial and residential property into the city limits during its regular meeting Tuesday night. Bethany Hildebrand, executive director of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce, spoke on behalf of the Stuttgart Industrial Development Corporation (SIDC), an arm of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. Hildebrand requested the commission approve the annexation of SIDC’s industrial park located along Highway 79 between 10th and 2nd Streets.
Wynne School District to start new year with unified high school campus, updated bell schedule, late start Mondays
WYNNE — The start of a new school year next Thursday will feel more like normal for the Wynne School District. For the first time since the March 2023 tornado, high school students will begin the year on one campus.
