MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia State Parks officials have recently announced the completion of over $4 million in upgrades at Twin Falls Resort State Park, which now includes the addition of a splash pad.

Governor Jim Justice states, “We’re investing in our state parks to make them the best they can be for our families and visitors. The new splash pad at Twin Falls Resort is a fantastic addition that will bring joy and excitement to everyone who visits.”

The Lily Pad Splash Park offers various water features, such as a dump cylinder that drops hundreds of gallons of water every five minutes, water blasters, water cannons, sprinklers, splashing frogs, and an aqua table. Additionally, visitors can enjoy chaise lounges, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, tables with umbrellas, and a small refreshment and retail area that sells a variety of frozen treats, drinks, snacks, logo apparel, and beach towels.

“We are thrilled to offer this exciting new feature at Twin Falls Resort and provide families with a fun and refreshing way to enjoy this beautiful park,” said West Virginia State Parks Acting Chief Dillard Price. “It’s a testament to our commitment to enhancing visitor experiences and making our state parks world-class destinations for everyone to enjoy.”

The splash pad is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is available for private parties from 6:30–8:30 p.m. The entrance fee is $6 per child, and each paying child may bring in one accompanying adult for free. Parties can be booked for $200, and season passes are available.

The splash pad was part of a $4 million bond project that also included rebuilding the Twin Falls Resort Pro Shop, which opened in the spring of 2023.

Additionally, ongoing projects at Twin Falls include adding a climbing wall and relocating the park’s nature center. The Falls Trail also receives a boardwalk and trail enhancements.
