Did you know you can take The Q-Line to the museums on the river?. It’s something I just learned recently. The Q-Line has resumed its summer Museums On The River (MOTR) route extension. The MOTR Q-Line route operates 6:15 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, with service every 20 minutes during museum hours.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people are in custody after a standoff in southwest Topeka, Kan. Authorities confirmed they have two people in custody following a standoff. Shawnee Co. Sheriff Brian Hill tells 13 NEWS the situation began as authorities tried to contact a person wanted for a felony warrant. Hill says the man ran into a house near SW 29th and Indian Hills Rd., and another man came out of the house and brandished a firearm at officers.

Junction City says goodbye to Dinkel
Junction City said goodbye to its longtime city manager Allen Dinkel on Wednesday in a retirement reception at the Municipal Building in Junction City. Dinkel, who has served 35 years in local government and the last 10 in Junction City said he doesn’t have any concrete plans at this time during retirement, but he hopes to spend most of it with family.

The Colby Multi-Purpose Arena and Equestrian Center Star Bond project took a step forward on Tuesday July 2nd when the city council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding and a Funding Agreement for the proposed project. It's no surprise there were long lines Wednesday afternoon outside the Marlo Cuevas Balandran Activity Center for food at the Fiesta Topeka. Word had spread that the Barron family — members of which once operated the legendary Rosa's Mexican Food — were making their signature burritos and queso at the fiesta. Wichita Police Department welcomes new recruits
The Wichita Police Department held graduation ceremonies Thursday for 27 new police officers who have completed their first round of training. The ceremony was held at Central Community Church at 6100 West Maple. After completing their work at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center, the recruits will begin field training with experienced officers.
