The mother, grandmother of a man who died of a fentanyl overdose charged in his death
The mother and grandmother of a 21-year-old man who died of a fentanyl overdose have been charged in his death. The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force in early June responded to a residence on Williams Hill Road in Elkton and found Jordan Moorefield deceased. Further investigation by the medical examiner’s showed he died from a fentanyl overdose, according to WKDZ.com.
Mason Michael sworn in as new fire chief
The Horse Cave City Council met in regular session on Monday, July 8. New Fire Chief Mason Michael was sworn in as the new fire chief of the Horse Cave Fire Department. As he introduced himself, Mason explained he has lived in Horse Cave his whole life and attended both Caverna and later Hart County (where he graduated in 2014). He explained he’s been with the Horse Cave Volunteer Fire Department since October 2014.
Glasgow woman charged with murder re-arrested for bond violations
GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – One of the two women charged with the murder of a Glasgow man has been re-arrested for violating bond conditions. Cheryl L. Bennett, 47, charged with the murder of Michael “Mickey” O. Logsdon, was taken into custody on Tuesday following a bench warrant issued on Monday.
Two men arrested after hitting GPD cruiser, fleeing on foot
The Glasgow Police Department arrested two men from Edmonton on a several charges after a brief pursuit on Oil City Road and the Veterans Outer Loop. According to a press release from the police department, officers responded to a supposed theft at Canaanland Baptist Church when the officers saw two men, identified as Timothy Goad and Roscoe Ennis, driving towards them and failed to stop once the police officer “activated their emergency equipment.” The vehicle struck the GPD K9 cruiser before continuing for a short time down Oil City Road and turned onto the Veterans Outer Loop.
