Bowling Green Parks and Recreation hosts Junior Golf Championship
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s an annual event that many look forward to and support every year for the benefit of youth of the community. The Junior Golf Championship is a Bowling Green Parks & Rec event put on every year to introduce kids 12 to 18 both boys and girls to the game of golf. Many business and community members help to sponsor the event which has almost doubled in size from last year in both categories with 69 boys and 39 girls in 2024’s tournament.

According to police, the unknown suspect used a victim’s information to open credit card accounts at two businesses. They’re accused of using the card to make fraudulent purchases at both businesses.
Bowling Green man convicted on terrorism charges after working with 2 WKU students to join ISIS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bowling Green man was convicted on multiple terrorism charges and he was working with two Western Kentucky University students at the time. A federal jury convicted Mirsad Ramic, 34, last month for his involvement with ISIS. Court documents show Ramic and the two WKU students all left the U.S. to support ISIS back in 2014. They purchased one-way tickets out of Nashville and ended up in Gaziantep, Turkey, near the Syrian border, court documents show.
