ROWLETT, Texas — An alleged intoxicated driver was arrested after attempting to evade officers and fleeing on foot in Rowlett, according to the Rowlett Police Department. The incident occurred in the 7600 block of Munich Drive, where the driver nearly hit a curb on Lakeview Parkway before abandoning the vehicle and running away. The Texas Department of Public Safety's North Texas Region, specifically DPS 101, assisted in locating the suspect, who was found hiding in a backyard and subsequently taken into custody.
Teen Shooting Suspect Arrested in Missouri After Year-Long Search
On Friday, January 13, 2023, at 9:19 p.m., Rowlett Police officers responded to a shooting at Twin Star Park in Rowlett, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adults and a 14-year-old girl, all from the same family, with gunshot wounds. The victims were immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.
