Man Arrested after Deputies Find Fentanyl at Franklin County Traffic Stop
WHITTINGTON – A Franklin County man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on I-57 near Illinois 154 in Whittington. Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon says 21-year-old Nathaniel R. Sloan of Benton is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – a Class 3 felony – and Possession with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver a Controlled Substance – a Class X felony. He is lodged in the Franklin County Jail. Sheriff Bacon says additional charges are pending.
Franklin County Man Sentenced to Prison for Producing Counterfeit U.S. Currency
EAST ST. LOUIS – A federal district judge has sentenced a Christopher man to 24 months in prison after he admitted to printing counterfeit money. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois, 38-year-old Michael A. Eskew pleaded guilty to one count of manufacture of counterfeit obligations of the U.S., one count of possession of counterfeit obligations of the U.S., and one count of possessing digital image of U.S. currency for counterfeiting.

Sheriff’s deputies described the suspect as a black male in his late teens/early 20s. He was wearing a dark shirt, long shorts and pink shoes.

LONE OAK, Ky. (KBSI) – A wanted man was arrested after sheriff’s deputies saw him driving in the Lone Oak area on July 24. Jason Chapman, 47 of Paducah faces charges of possession of a controlled substance – 1st degree/1st offense – methamphetamine Class D felony, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess – Class A misdemeanor and possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited violation. Arrest warrants were also served.

Several arrested during recent drug investigations in McCracken County
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office has made several arrest in connection with drug investigations over the past week in McCracken County. On July 16th detectives stopped a vehicle on South 6th Street in Paducah. Detectives allegedly found small quantities of Methamphetamine, synthetic Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Joshua Luna, was charged in connection with the drugs.

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - A juvenile is accused of threatening a Carbondale store manager with a gun. According to a release from the Carbondale Police Department, at around 10:48 p.m. on July 19, they received a complaint about a person with a handgun threatening the manager of a store in the 500 block of East Main Street; however, they could not find the person.
