Roots Run Deep, Sulphur Relief Concert is Saturday
The April 27 tornado that devastated Sulphur hangs over Murray County months later. Walking through the Murray County Expo to assist with public service announcements for relief efforts turned into a burning desire to help those in need. Since that day, a Davis business owner, Bobbi Jo Wells, one of those people asked to help with initial relief efforts has made it her mission to help the residential victims of the tornado.
Chickasaw Nation approved for hailstorm disaster declaration
ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — Tuesday, the Biden Administration approved a disaster declaration for the Chickasaw Nation following the hailstorm on March 14th and 15th. “The match cost is 25 percent and then FEMA pays for 75 percent," said Chickasaw Nation emergency management director Steve Cash. "This time we went directly to FEMA the other storms is Marietta, Murray county, Carter county they were already declared disaster storms in Oklahoma.”
