'I'm Extremely Confident': Collin Oliver Ready For One Last Ride With Cowboys
Oklahoma State landed a pair of defensive standouts on the 2024 Preseason All-Big 12 team, linebackers Nick Martin and Collin Oliver. For Oliver, it's his last ride and it's been a good one so far for him. He's racked up 130 career total tackles to go with over 38 tackles for loss and 22 sacks.
Not Too Early Big XII Hoops Predictions: No. 12, Oklahoma State
Several Big XII teams may have depth problems this season. Oklahoma State will not be among them. In fact, it is possible the Cowboys could be the deepest team in the conference. The problem will be that there aren't any obviously high-level players on the roster. Sure, a bunch of them should be able to compete reasonably well in the league, but none will be all-conference. Still, Steve Lutz has done a quite respectable job of assembling his initial roster in Stillwater.

5-4, PAC-12 Key returners: Quarterback Cameron Rising, Tight End Brant Kuithe. The Utah Utes are the best addition to a league losing both the Sooners and the Longhorns. They are highly competitive, recruit game changing talent, and have a home field advantage that will be the best in the Big 12. The return of quarterback Cameron Rising gives a big lift to the Utes. Rising sustained a left knee injury in their Rose Bowl loss to Penn State, missing all of 2023. His 2022 season was an indicator of what could be this season, starting in 13 games and throwing for 3,034 yards and 26 touchdowns, while rushing for another six touchdowns. Wide receiver transfer Dorian Singer brings Rising and Utah another offensive weapon.
