Driver hits woman crossing Detroit-area street, police say
(CBS DETROIT) - A 42-year-old Michigan woman is in critical condition after she was hit while trying to cross a Metro Detroit street early Wednesday morning. At 4:32 a.m., Clinton Township police responded to eastbound Metro Parkway near northbound Gratiot Avenue after receiving a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. Investigators learned that a gray 2017 Kia Sportage was traveling eastbound in the left lane of Metro Parkway when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The pedestrian, a Clinton Township woman, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police notified the victim's family. The Kia driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No other injuries were reported. Police say they do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash. The Clinton Township Police Department is asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the department at 586-493-7802 or Detective Lieutenant C. Allis at 586-493-7935.
Man dies after losing control of motorcycle, crashing in Chesterfield Township
In a press release, Chesterfield Police said their officers were called to a motorcycle crash at Gratiot and Terra Industrial Drive on Saturday (8/24) at 12:53 a.m. The victim, 53, died of his injuries.

Rochester Hills Doctor Charged With Felony Sex Crimes at Michigan Hospitals
Police officials have launched a massive investigation into an Oakland County doctor accused of secretly filming people at multiple hospitals, homes, and a swim club. Although not an employee, Dr. Oumair Aejaz of Rochester Hills is an internist who held credentials at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township.

Man killed in Chesterfield Twp. motorcycle crash Saturday
A 53-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Chesterfield Township early Saturday morning. The incident happened at 12:53 a.m. The victim was taken to McLaren Macomb hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said in a release no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened at Gratiot Avenue and Terra Industrial Drive, just north of 21 Mile Road. The man, who was wearing a helmet, was southbound on Gratiot when he lost control of the motorcycle.
