Repairs slated for portion of 21 Mile Road in Chesterfield Township
Road work is set to begin Friday along a portion of 21 Mile Road in Chesterfield Township. Longitudinal joint repair work will be done on 21 Mile Road between Interstate 94 and Jefferson Avenue. The road will remain open to traffic with intermittent flagging operations in place during construction operations, according to the Macomb County Department of Roads.

Officials have cracked down on a human smuggling operation in Metro Detroit after agents witnessed a boat illegally crossing from Canada into the United States, resulting in the arrest of five individuals.
