Jonesville in Catahoula Parish becomes the newest community accepted to the Louisiana Main Street Lagniappe Community Program

CATAHOULA PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD)– According to officials, the Louisiana Main Street has officially accepted the town of Jonesville in Catahoula Parish as the newest member of the Lagniappe Community Program, an 18-month capacity-building process establishing a pathway to becoming a designated Louisiana Main Street community.

We are excited to welcome the town of Jonesville to the Lagniappe Community Program as they begin the process to bring about the revitalization of their downtown area, change that otherwise may not have been possible. Historic downtowns are the heart of any community and the people who live near these areas will reap the benefits from seeing commercial buildings put back into productive reuse.
