MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On May 18, 2024, the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana hosted one of their many Super Saturday in the Garden. Children are invited to the Family Garden at the Children’s Coalition in Monroe.

This week, children were invited to learn about pollination and flowers.

Today we had one of our many Super Saturday’s which is focused on pollination and the beauty of pollination. We had the opportunity to go across and get different partners from Jazz from the Lab to LSU Ag and learn about the beauty of pollination and flowers.

The event was created with the goal to create communities where children and families can thrive.

Here in the garden that we operate at the Children’s Coalition it’s an opportunity foryoung people to learn around fruits, vegetables, different insects, and animals as well. So the CHildren will come today and learn about all of this and also have the opportunity to sample from our garden, sample different healthy treats, and take those back with them because one of our overall missions here at Children’s Coalition is to create communities where children and families can thrive and this is a starting point for us.
